The Low Country Jazz Festival serves as a primary fund raising event for the Closing The Gap In Health Care, Inc. organization founded by Dr. Thaddeus John Bell. Its mission to decrease health disparities and increase health literacy among under served African American communities in the Carolinas. The organization accomplishes this by providing health education and programs that promote wellness and healthy lifestyles.
