In 1989, our team coined the phrase "Smooth Jazz" to define a movement in music—a sound that was elegant, inclusive, and instantly appealing. What we quickly discovered, as we launched radio stations and built the Smooth Jazz Network® across the globe, was that this was more than a genre; it was a lifestyle.
