A new "Best Of" album is coming from saxophonist Mindi Abair!
"I took time over this past year to revisit the songs of my 21-year recording career. I've always wanted to put together a collection of my hits along with some live favorites ... and I've included 8 tracks and edits that I promise you don't own yet," Mindi Abair wrote on YouTube. "The Best of Mindi Abair is a 19-song collection of my biggest hits, previously unreleased gems I know you'll love, a few of my personal favorites, and my brand-new song “April.”

The follow up to Mindi Abair’s hit return to Contemporary Jazz radio, “Forever”, is appropriately titled, “April”. Appropriate because “April” is included in Mindi’s new BEST OF MINDI ABAIR album due for release on April 2.
This album contains virtually all of the hits from Mindi’s career, starting with “Lucy’s” from 2002, right up through her award winning blues recordings with The Boneshakers, plus a couple of unreleased gems and culminating with the brand new song, “April”. Classic Mindi, this song brings the quality of recording, her unmistakable playing style and the top notch rhythm section of Abe Laboriel Jr (Paul McCartney) on drums, Sean Hurley (John Mayer) bass, guitarist Tim Pierce (Michael Jackson, Crowded House, Phil Collins) and Mindi’s long time collaborator Rodney Lee on keys.
