R&B singer James Ingram has passed away at the age of 66.
"I have lost my dearest friend and creative partner James Ingram to the Celestial Choir," his partner Debbie Allen wrote on Twitter Tuesday. "He will always be cherished, loved and remembered for his genius, his love of family and his humanity. I am blessed to have been so close. We will forever speak his name."
James Ingram took home two Grammy's in his lifetime, one for his duet performance with Michael McDonald on "Ya Mo Be There." You can read more about his life and career here.
