Al Jarreau was forced to cancel his scheduled performance on The Jazz Cruise earlier this week after falling ill.
On his official Facebook page, on January 28th a representative wrote that Al was resting after feeling weak and a shortness of breath. That was the day the Jazz Cruise was set to take sail.
Comments of good wishes and prayers poured in on the Facebook post which was shared nearly 500 times.
At 76 years old, Al continues to actively tour worldwide. His website lists four more shows scheduled for this month alone. There is no word on whether he will be able to perform them at this time.
Our thoughts are with him and his family as we wish him a speedy recovery.
