Kayla Waters the 26 yr old daughter of saxophonist Kim Waters will release her label debut "Apogee" Feb 24th on Trippin 'N' Rhythm Records. The lead single "I Am"is already making serious noise across the country garnering Most Added honors on the Billboard chart her first week at radio. Classically trained and growing up in a household surrounded by jazz helped Kayla find her passion for jazz music. This past April she garnered National attention on BET 's highly acclaimed show Black Girls Rock where she had the opportunity to play keyboards for the legendary Gladys Knight and Corrine Bailey Rae to name a few. When Kayla is not recording or performing she serves as music director the Howard University early learning program where she obtained her Bachelor Of Music degree in piano performance (Summa Cum Laude).
