SMOOTH JAZZ TOP 20 COUNTDOWN CELEBRATES 10TH ANNIVERSARY

A DECADE OF COUNTING DOWN THE HITS

Today, June 9 marks the 10th anniversary of the SMOOTH JAZZ NETWORK'S countdown show, The SMOOTH JAZZ TOP 20. The radio show launched on June 9, 2007 as the SMOOTH JAZZ format's very first (and only) countdown show.

In a 2007 interview with Radio & Records magazine, show creator Allen Kepler said “The Smooth Jazz Top 20 Countdown” will be a positive development for smooth jazz in the mind of the public. A countdown show — a staple of nearly every other format — is a major step forward and will go a long way toward legitimizing smooth jazz simply as a real format."

Today Kepler says he is grateful for the opportunity to continue to count down the hits every weekend on over 50 radio stations and streams worldwide.

Check out this weekend's Top 20 Chart or catch the show on our live stream.
